What is Resource Efficiency?

Rubbish Bin
This is to be avoided!
Resource efficiency is all about using materials, energy, time and money more effectively i.e. "doing more with less". REBRI's main focus is on reducing the amount of building material wastes generated at construction sites that would otherwise be landfilled.

To enable resource efficiency, opportunities in the design, construction, landscaping and demolition stages are all examined. To show you how some New Zealand building companies have applied the REBRI advice given here, seven case studies are presented. If you would like to track waste materials, to have a record of where a particular consignment of waste went, you will need to use the Waste Tracker system. If you just want to locate markets for recyclable materials in your region, relevant links are provided.

The earlier questions about resource efficiency are made, the easier the concepts can be applied.
