- Should understand how waste and recyclable materials will be managed before they start work
- Need to be committed to the overall waste minimisation program
- Undergo any training required to become familiar with the requirements of the program
- Otherwise have all the same responsibilities as for the other Site Workers.
An example of a waste minimisation clause that might be added to a contract is:
Conditions of Tender for Sub-Contract
A formal construction waste reduction plan will be in operation and the tenderer will be required to incorporate waste reduction as part of their works.
Tenderers should submit waste minimisation details, including as a minimum, the following:
Two practical measures associated with the tenderers scope of works to prevent waste entering the site
Two waste streams resulting from the tenderer's scope of works that can be recycled and will be actively managed as part of a site waste reduction plan
